Update on Noah

I've been so wrapped in the new baby posts that I have neglected to give an update on Noah.

Noah is 28 months now.  He is absolutely full of energy.  He LOVES playing outside.  He has three favorite spots...the swing, the lawn mower, and a pile of dirt.  I think he would sit for an hour and just dig in the dirt if we would give him the time to do it.

He was a little delayed in talking, but he is definitely catching up.  I can usually figure out what he is trying to say, but he is a little hard to understand still because he hasn't figure out how to say certain letter sounds. He is getting speech once a week through Early Intervention, but I'm not sure it's helping.  We're going to give it a few more sessions to decide if we want to continue or not.

He is a VERY picky eater.  He does not like vegetables.  Green beans is about the only one that he will eat without throwing a fit.  He also doesn't like most meat unless it's chicken nuggets or pork sausage.  He loves cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, pizza, pears, cookies, apple juice, milk, applesauce, chicken nuggets, and sausage.  He actually calls sausage "pig".

He is becoming very polite and almost always says please and thank you.  A lot of times he will even say you're welcome right after he says thank you (almost like he's having a conversation with himself).

He weighs about 30 pounds and is wearing 3T shirts.  His 2T pants are getting too short, but the 3T pants are a little too long and way too big in the waist.  If it's a pair of shorts, he can wear 18-24 month still.

He is doing really well with Emma.  He likes to give her kisses and hold her.  He doesn't like when Garland holds her or when his grandpas hold her.  He will point to her and say "NO!  Emma go mama."  He doesn't like to share the guys in his life with her I guess.  Oh, wait...he doesn't like sharing anything.  I think he's definitely a typical two year old!

That about sums it up.  Here are a few recent pictures of him.  I have got to get better at using my camera more.  I always forget to get it out and use it anymore.
