37 weeks 3 days

18 days left!!!  Well, give or take a few.  I can't believe we are in the "teens" now!  I had my 37 week doctor's appointment yesterday.  It was supposed to be today, but on Monday night my right leg and foot were swollen much more than my left leg.  Because I have a blood clot disorder, the doctor wanted to see me a day early to check it out.  It was better Tuesday morning, but was still noticeably bigger than the left leg.  He sent me for a doppler scan to make sure there was no blood clot.  Nothing was found, so I guess it's just a weird pregnancy thing.

I did progress a little more from last week.  I'm now 2cm dilated and 70% effaced.  Emma was very wiggly for him and her heart rate was 170.  That is the highest it's been, but he said it was because she was moving around so much.  He joked and said his crystal ball still hadn't told him when she would be making her appearance.

We are pretty much ready here.  Well...as ready as one can be when expecting a newborn!  Last night, I stayed up late and got the bassinet bedding and bouncy seat cover washed.  I have one shelf left to put up in her room.  Also waiting on a few last minute things to be delivered today and tomorrow from Amazon.  I'm sure I have forgotten something.  Oh, I still need to get some baby meds like Tylenol, Motrin, gas drops, Gripe Water, etc.

I'm going to try to finish up my hospital bag today or tomorrow....get the camera batteries charged and make a list of last minute things to grab if we have to rush out the door to the hospital.

Noah is doing good.  He talks to Emma in my belly a lot.  Okay...more like yells at her.  We're trying to teach him that he needs to talk softly to her, but he prefers the yelling method.  I don't think he realizes how his world is going to be turned upside down soon!  I'm sure he will be fine with her in the long run, but we know it will be tough for a while.
