Three months old

Today our little one is three-months old.  It's been almost two weeks since we got the call.  It is finally starting to feel real.  The first week or so, I just couldn't believe it.  I still have moments where I'll see his pictures sitting on our bookcase and it just hits me.  "Wow...that really is my kid!"  It's just so hard to believe sometimes!

The first few times that I attempted to go shop for baby things, I felt like my heart was going to pound out of my chest.  I think it was fear that something would happen to him more than anything.  That seems to have passed now.  I went to a kids' resale shop in Champaign and got four outfits for him last weekend and felt fine while I was in there.

Some have asked what the process is from here.  Right now we are waiting to hear when our court date will be.  I'm hoping to hear something in the next two weeks.  My guess is that our court date will be sometime in March.  We also hope to get a social report sometime before the court date.  The social report will have updated pictures and will include 10-15 pages of information all about the baby.  I am really looking forward to getting that!!!

Aside from those things, we should also get updated measurements on a monthly basis until we travel.  More than anything, I am really hoping to get those soon just for peace of mind to know that he is growing and gaining weight.

We are still guessing that we will travel sometime between May and July.  I am certainly hoping for May!

By chance did you go to All Things Kids in Champaign. I was just there last Saturday with a friend and found tons of stuff for the girls. And great prices!!!

Can't wait to see pictures of your little guy and I hope everything moves along quickly for you.

Yes!! That is where I was at too! How funny. I was there in the afternoon...I think it was around 3:30 maybe. They have a lot of stuff and very reasonably priced I thought.
