A few days ago, we moved up another spot on the list to number 20!! We'll be in the teens very soon. It still seems so surreal. Today we went for our second round of immunizations. We got the second Hepatitis A and B vaccine. It was almost painless, but we'll see how our arms feel tomorrow. Last time, my arm felt like it would fall off, but I had two shots that day.

The Ethiopian courts are still closed, but should reopen by the first week in October. We're hoping for a huge batch of referrals to come when they reopen.

I check in every month or so to keep up with you and your family. I don't comment but I really enjoy reading your updates. You have been in our thoughts and prayers. Having been through this process - but not under the same circumstances as you - I can't imagine how you must feel going through all of this. Once it finally happens - it will feel like one big exciting blur to you!!.....and yes, SURREAL is exactly how it all felt to me. Once we were in Haiti, I just couldn't wrap my mind around it all. Once we were home, we wanted to sell everything we had, move there and "save the world." It wasn't practical for us but International adoption changes you forever. You can never look at the world the same way once you visit your child's country. Those of us who get to do that - are truly blessed.
