CVS - 8/3 - 8/10 deals

5 Dawn Dishsoaps (on sale for 88 cents - 50 cent off coupon for each one...38 cents each!)
2 Pert ($3.69 BOGO free - $2.00 off coupon)
12 makeups! (Range in price from $7.99 - $9.99 -- BOGO free with a BOGO free coupon for every two..made them all free!!)
4 Oral-B toothbrushes ($2.49 - $1 coupon for each - earn $1.50 ECBs on each..FREE)
1 Energy drink ($4.99 get back $4.99 in ECBs)
1 Advil infant drops (my first baby purchase.. $5.79 - $1.00 coupon = $4.79...get back $5.79 in ECBs)
1 Aspirin (free August gift)
2 Colgate toothpastes (on sale for $2.99 - two coupons - $1.50, $2.00..earn $2.00 ECBs on each)
2 pencil pouches ($2.19 BOGO free)
1 notebook (for Apple ...$3)
1 CVS sanitary product ($1.99 -- got a coupon for these from coupon machine...FREE)

I also got a $3/$15 at the coupon machine. I already had one, so I am saving this one for the next trip. The coupon machine is just inside the door at most CVS stores...swipe your card and wait for the surprise. Try swiping it a second time too. It usually gives you even more coupons.

Total before coupons and ECBs: $170
After coupons: $28.00
ECBs used: $18.00
Cash out-of-pocket: $10.00!!
Earned $20.79 ECBs for next time!

I noticed later that they didn't take one of the makeup coupons off right. I should have had $2 more off...they put in $7.99 instead of $9.99. So, If I had that off, my total would have been $8 cash. I could have came out with spending zero out-of-pocket because the Pert really was supposed to be free. A lot of people are getting it free by using two $2 off coupons (it is BOGO free). If I had known that they wouldn't allow it, I would have just put it back. I bought the school supplies because there was a rebate on them with the Pert deal...but I misread the form and didn't realize you had to spend $5 on the Pert. So, if I had scrapped that, I would have spent about $1.69 less on the Pert and about $5.25 less on the school supplies.

Still learning the ropes I guess.

I might have to make one more trip later this week. We'll see.

I didn't know about the coupon machine. I'm going to look for that next trip.

However, I did get some of the same deals you did.

Great shopping! I keep looking for those handy dandy coupon machines but we don't seem to have them in my local CVS stores. Maybe soon. :)
