Three months down

November 2nd officially marked three months since our paperwork was logged in at the CCAA. Yesterday also was a big day for others in this wait. Three couples I know of that are with our agency received referrals for their babies. These people had been waiting for 14 1/2 months since their log in date. There were 15% more days included in this batch of referrals which is a good thing. This could be an indication of a speed up, but then may just be a fluke. Rumors are all over the board. Some say that the wait is going to stabilize and not go beyond 14 months...others say the wait is going to go up to 18 - 24 months. All I can say is this time next year, we will hopefully have a better idea of when we will get our referral. So, to answer the question of "how much longer will it be?" the answer is "I have no idea!!"

On a funny note, to pass the time I am constantly looking at blogs of families who have adopted or who are in the process of adopting. I found this blog and the video is so cute. If you are on a dial-up connection, you may not be able to view it. My daycare kids love singing "Wheels on the Bus" so this reminded me of them.

Hi Burt family!

It's so good to hear a bit of news "from home". Eli and Josiah loved your card, by the way, and we will be praying for you all! For the record, in response to Garland's "diary entry" (hee hee) on the 23rd, I think it could be a very good thing for you to stay in Jacksonville and raise Sadie there. I would imagine there will be cultural..."opportunities", shall we say?... wherever you are (my goodness - we experience them here with our little family, even!). One thing I do know for sure, God promises that when we seek Him, we will find Him and He will guide us along the path marked out for us. I'll be excited to see where your journey takes you (or doesn't!).

Take care!
