One step forward....two steps back...

Just when I thought I was ready to send everything to the courier.....

My social worker came over to review our documents and help get things in order yesterday. Back at the end of April, I had sent her copies of all our documents so that she could review them for accuracy. Yesterday as she was looking over them, she found mistakes on two different documents. (I'm not sure why this wasn't caught in the past three months.) The two problem documents are our financial statement from our accountant and a medical letter from our doctor. The CPA letter is not a big deal to get redone as she will just take it to be notarized herself, but the doctor's letter was a big hassle the first time around, so this should be fun. The biggest problem is finding a notary who can be at the doctor's office at the same time that the doctor is available to come out and sign the document. So, that is the task for the next two days...to get this taken care of so that by NEXT week I will have the documents to the courier to start the certification/authentication process.

And so, we press on....

You have my absolute sympathy. My husband and I are very close to the same point in the process as you right now. We found out last week that our home study agency never sent our home study to the USCIS. The 171H is the last document that we are waiting for so everyday of waiting is feeling like forever. I hope that you are able to get everything resolved as soon as you can.
