Homestudy is near completion!

Today the medical papers for me were notarized. Grandma T. went and picked them up at the doctor's office so that I wouldn't have to take off any time. I will send those off in the mail tomorrow.

I talked to our social worker yesterday and she said that she already has a lot of the homestudy report written and will just fill in a few missing pieces as soon as she gets copies of the medical stuff. She anticipates it only being a few days until she has it finished once she gets those copies.

What does that mean?? Well, having the homestudy done will be a huge accomplishment! When the final draft is in our hands, we will send it to USCIS (Immigration). They will then send us the invitation to be fingerprinted (our 3rd set of prints). After the fingerprinting, then we can work on getting the dossier completed and sent to China. I am really hoping that it will be finished and to China by June 1st. That seems like a long way off, but the wait time until we get fingerprinted will probably be 30 days, then it will take another 30 after that to get the results of those. So, I will be happy with June even happier if it was May 1st, but I'm not holding my breath!
